Data Cloud Consultant: How to pass the certificate (and how it may relate to Chihuahua)?
Practical Steps

With Data Cloud certificate, I’ve added one more to my portfolio and that makes it 17. The way I approach any certificate is based on this Principle.
Now, let’s talk specifically about Data 360 Certificate - how I studied for it, and how you can pass it too.
Let’s get into it.
Step 1: Start by getting the core concepts clear. You can refer to the articles I’ve written about Data Cloud:
How does Data Cloud work? (C: Connect)
What is Customer 360 Data Model? (H: Harmonize)
Unification or Identity Resolution (U: Unify)
What is Segmentation? (A: Analyze)
What is Activation? (A: Act)
At the end of the day, Data Cloud concepts can be boiled down to CHUAA (Connect, Harmonize, Unify, Analyze and Act) , yeah more like the dog: Chihuahua.
Step 2: Apply and Practice
Once you understand the concepts, follow this structure:
Spin up a Salesforce org and start practicing, here’s a link for that.
Complete Trailhead Modules: link
Use Salesforce Implementation Guides: Each cloud comes with a guide. Download a PDF version of that, then use Google’s NotebookLM to ask questions, generate cards and learn: link here
Use AI tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google Gemini: to help clarify the concepts, where you don’t understand.
Take Practice tests found online to test yourself.
I know some people use Coursera, Udemy videos or other guided lectures for Data Cloud. I haven’t used those but they can be helpful for structured learning.
That is all you need and good luck!
