I am writing this post to share some AI tools I've been using lately. And no, I’m not jumping on these because of FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out) but because of ‘Joy of Sheer Exploration’ and how they are making my life more convenient.
Like a puppeteer's strings, soon enough we'll orchestrate these AI tools to dance in our rhythm and tell our stories - to bring our ideas into reality.
So, let’s go through these tools:
Perplexity: I call this the google of AI. It does a great summary of my searches and give me the answers right away. I’ve mostly switched from Google search to this app. Why? It gives me the information first and then provides link afterwards (which is reverse of what google does today). I like that! I don’t need to click through endless websites to get information. The app extracts it for me and that’s a great value-add. As Naval puts it ‘AI is eating UI’. This app clearly shows it’s eating all the webpages.
Grok: I love using Grok embedded with X platform. I press it often to explain some tweets, to understand some concepts people talk about. (example: Kardashev scale) If given good prompts, it generates good images too (like the one above).
Replit: This one is a game changer for building websites. By using Replit AI agent I was able to create 2 MVP websites in less than 3 hours. That is pretty impressive! I’ll be using it more often to build more apps and integrations in the future.
Claude: This tool is good for writing and coding too. Just yesterday it helped me write an Apex Class and trigger to calculate Health Score for an Account (based on revenues from Opportunities, Case closed and other metrics. I was stunned.
Cove: This is my newest find. Think of this as Miro board on AI steroids! So, instead of the chatbot format, where you write a prompt and the output is more linear, it provides a digital whiteboard UI to spread out the ideas.
I tried using it to plan marriage anniversary.
MidJourney: I use this to generate images for my blog posts.
Imagine Art: I sometimes use imagine art to generate images for posts as well.
Yes, so without even us actively realizing AI has started slowly integrating in our lives. I hope we use it to make our life more convenient, informative and productive.
